2025 has officially arrived, and to be honest, it really got me thinking in the first place. I talked about my annual reset routine and how I manage my motivation, my goals, standing up for myself, and building the life that I always dreamed of.
So, after I did my reset, focused on my energy and inner balance, I decided there is so much more to do this year. Luckily, I was not the only one who got inspired in the new year in this household, so on January 1st, we decided to do a makeover in our apartment. The second the stores opened, we went all in to do everything to make our imagination come to life. Although it would have been nice if someone had warned me beforehand how much work and time it was going to take, I am enjoying every moment of us doing this together. I will make sure to keep my followers updated about the outcome—I am so excited.
But today’s blog post is not all about me yapping about my New Year’s ideas, more so the things that I am appreciating this year in fashion and lifestyle. These are things that I am excited to try and style in 2025 and to be able to get the most out of them. I like to read people’s opinions about the different things they are considering, so I thought I would share my ideas with you guys today!
1. Pop of color in interior design
Let’s start with interiors because I can’t stop obsessing over pops of color. Whether we talk about a maximalist or minimalist approach, I really feel like it can give so much personality to both. I used to be all about neutral tones, and I still am to a certain level, but to be honest, missing some different colors and being able to play around with them was one of the main reasons I decided to redo our apartment. Adding a bright orange or red throw pillow or a vibrant green or blue lamp totally transforms a space—it feels fresh, fun, and full of personality. Another great thing about these types of accessories in a neutral space is that they are not a huge commitment, and you are able to change them from time to time. My plans for our living room are to add red and blue accessories and art to make the space feel warmer and more like us.

2. Coffee tables from books
Another thing I’m absolutely loving is using coffee tables made from stacks of books. I literally cannot get this idea out of my head, and I am telling everyone about it. When I say literally, I mean it—the other day, I went to watch a movie with my girls, and I saw this construction in the movie. I started to explain how I want to do it to my friends. It’s such a cute and creative way to display all those aesthetic coffee table books while doubling as decor. Plus, it makes your space feel so artsy, layered, and personal.

3. Monochrome looks
Now, onto fashion: I’m in my monochrome look era, and let me tell you, there’s something so powerful about wearing a single color from head to toe. Whether it’s a soft beige for cozy vibes or a bold red for drama, monochrome is effortless yet striking. I already explained my ideas on it in a few older posts, but I feel like my time has come to live it out and style it more frequently. Especially in the winter season, when we are all bundled up, this can add something exciting and fresh to the looks.

4. Chunky belts
And can we talk about big belts? They’re making a huge comeback, and I’m here for it. A chunky belt over a flowy dress or paired with wide-leg pants gives main character energy. I was not sure if these pieces would suit my style for a long time, but I am starting to realize how much I crave big belts in some of my outfits. Also, there are multiple trends, like the retro and western ones, where a big belt is one of the most suitable pieces to make them come to life. They are incredibly fun and chic, and they are capable of adding character to an outfit, so I am waiting to find mine and style it as much as possible this year.

5. Bag charms
Let’s not forget bag charms—a small but mighty detail that’s all about self-expression. This trend entered the fashion world in 2024, but I did my research and really feel like they are here to stay this year. This is also one of those trends where I think it can suit maximalist and minimalist approaches alike, while adding detail and personality to the outfits. Whether it’s a mini stuffed animal or a chic leather tassel, it’s the perfect way to make any bag uniquely yours. I just got a new bag for Christmas, and I chose a little panda bear charm for it, which I am fully obsessed with, and I can’t wait to pair it with different bags.

6. Pilates
And finally, my forever fitness obsession: Pilates. I’ve been hooked on its mix of low-impact moves that somehow leave me feeling stronger and more aligned after every session. It’s become such a grounding part of my routine for two years now, and it feels like the perfect balance of self-care and sweat. I struggled with movement a lot, especially during the time of my eating disorder, and Pilates gave me the first approach of how movement and balance can be paired. If I could choose one form of movement to stay with me for the rest of my life, it would definitely be Pilates. So, if you haven’t already tried any form of it, this is your wave to do so, and I hope you will enjoy it just as much as I do.

This would be my first 2025 obsession list, and if my readers are open to it, I would love to make this a series seasonally. There are so many things that inspire me and that I would love to share with you all. So tell me all about what you think, and have a beautiful, successful, and dreamy new year!
