Autumn is a very special season for me—a time to focus on myself and do the things I haven’t been able to in a while. It’s a time for friends, family, nature, and inner peace. Every year, I make a bucket list of experiences I want to enjoy during this season. It helps me feel grounded and connected to what’s ahead in life.

To be honest, when I put out the poll on Instagram yesterday about what my next blog post should be, I was really hoping my followers would choose “my favorite fall activities”—and they did! So, today I’m excited to share my thoughts, ideas, and wishes for this season. I hope these inspire you to go outside, connect with nature, and find time for introspection in the best ways possible.
Go Outside
Autumn offers so many opportunities to connect with nature and appreciate its beauty. One of my favorite activities is collecting fall leaves—a tradition that takes me back to my childhood, when I would spend hours doing it with my friends at school. It might seem a little odd for an adult, but it brings out my inner child and heals old memories. Doing this (and the other activities I’ll mention) with close friends or family is a wonderful way to create lasting memories and bond over shared experiences.
Another thing I’ve recently become excited about is hosting fall picnics with friends. We all love outdoor activities, and it’s a seasonal tradition for us to have a big get-together in nature. Find a cozy spot, invite your friends, and organize one! It’s a budget-friendly way to create unforgettable moments. Typically, the girls bake something yummy, and the guys bring drinks and any necessary picnic equipment. All you need is a large blanket, some cookies or muffins, warm tea, and good company!

Resetting Your Space
As I often say, “Order is the soul of everything,” especially when it comes to our home. I strive to keep my space organized, and fall gives me extra motivation to do so. This season is the perfect time to do a deep clean, light some fall-scented candles, and let the magic happen. I actually love cleaning—something that might surprise some people. But it helps me appreciate having a warm, cozy space to live in. Although deep cleaning can take time-consuming, the sense of accomplishment afterward makes it worth every minute.
This might sound a bit spiritual, but when a new season arrives, I like to burn incense in our home to cleanse the energy of the previous season and make space for new beginnings. It’s a great practice for those, like me, who struggle with anxiety. Pairing it with a grounding meditation can be truly transformative, so don’t hesitate to give it a try!

Fall Foods
I have a major weakness for fall foods and drinks. I mean, who doesn’t love a warm pumpkin spice or chai latte, right? I’m obsessed with fall flavors, anything fall-themed, and I’m all in. Now’s the perfect time to ask friends and family for their favorite fall recipes and try them at home. My grandma makes the best apple pie, and I’ve already asked for her recipe. I’m excited to bake it soon—maybe for my next picnic!
Another thing my boyfriend and I love is visiting the local market to pick up apples and pumpkins, adding to the cozy, spooky fall vibes. Find your own favorite fall-themed foods and drinks and treat yourself once in a while!

Energy
Letting go of things that no longer serve you is essential when a new season approaches. My personal ritual starts with journaling. I reflect on what I accomplished over the summer and what I’m looking forward to in the fall. (If you’re new to journaling, check out my post on how to get started 🥰).

Treat yourself to a warm bath, use fall-scented products, light a candle, and finally start that book you’ve been meaning to read. This is how I recharge, and I’m absolutely loving it. 🥰
For cozy nights with friends, I recommend putting phones away, trying a new board game, or watching a spooky Halloween movie. It’s a great way to fully enjoy each other’s company without distractions.

This is what my fall bucket list looks like—the activities I’m excited to do and the memories I’m eager to create. I’m sure we’ll all learn something about ourselves and those we love through this process, so make the most of your autumn.
