I am definitely waiting to unlock my fall wardrobe and leave behind the days where I have no clue about what to wear because of the heat. Fashion loves fall, and so do we. Colder weather conditions give us the opportunity to mix and match, to layer and explore more in our closet for an outfit. On the runways we have seen many upcoming shoe trends and solutions which we can take with ourselves from this summer to fall. The past week I spent hours and hours on my pinterest to create my fall mood board and here is what I found for welcoming the autumn season.
1. colorful sneakers
We have seen colorful sneakers having a comeback this spring, especially Adidas ones. I think Adidas overall is having a huge comeback, but anyways we have seen a lot of different colors, forms, and patterns which can make an outfit super stylish and unique. There are several different ideas on styling a colorful sneaker, but there are some easy and relevant tips I am here to share with you.
- It is really easy to style them with monochrome looks, but my all time favorite styling hack is wearing colorful sneakers with a full white outfit. These kinds of looks are easy and effortless to create, but at the same time it looks chic and trendy, coordinating the sneakers with a bag or some accessories can add more to the pop of color in the look.
- Another option, which is relevant in the fall context, is wearing these sneakers with some loose fit jeans and a cute top. This means we are kind of going with the basics, but the shoes can add such a lift and inspiration to an outfit, that you will just look like someone walking out of your pinterest board.
- With more pastel colored sneakers, I love the idea of styling them with similar shades. These looks can be easily created with colors like yellow, blue, green and pink. In thrift stores it’s easy to find these types of color combinations and they have the benefit of timelessness.

2. kitten heels
Kitten heels are still keeping their place for the fall as the crowned heels of this year. We have seen kitten heels enter the game by the end of last year and they have been here for a good time since then. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I adore them from the very beginning. I think we have seen the best kitten heels outfits from Kendall and Kylie this year, because they were killing looks with them. We have seen them on the runway a lot, but my all time favorite ones were Jacquemus and Miu Miu, who introduced totally new forms and shapes of these heels. I love them, because they are not the usual, go-to heels we are used to, but they are mostly comfortable and they have the advantage of you can both dress it up and down and still go with a cute outfit.

3. Ballet flats
This might be sad news for some, who cannot find their way of adopting ballet flats to their wardrobe, because they are staying for the fall. They were named the It-Shoe of the year, so the ones who adore them are not giving up on this trend. The comeback of ballet flats was a controversial one in the fashion world, because we were so not used to these shapes and materials that we were seeing on the runway this season. Alia, Miu Miu and Ganni reintroduced flats completely different from what we have known before and fashion people all tried to find a way to welcome them into their closet.
Personally, at first I was also uncertain of my need for a ballet flat, but finally I purchased one from Reserved to give them a trial and I have been wearing them non-stop since then. They are very versatile, you can nail the old money trend with them and make incredibly cute outfits just by adding these flats. If you are not sure about how you would style them, I suggest you look around on Pinterest, try to find inspiration for your style and purchase one affordable pair, with a color you can easily build into your wardrobe, so you will not have any regrets later. I think they will stay not just for a good, but for a long time also.
